Wu Dang Chen
Jeffrey Yuen comes from two Daoist lineages -- Shangqing and Quanzhen traditions. He trained at an early age in all the different facets of Daoism and decided to focus on the healing arts. Mr. Yuen serves as Director of Classical Studies at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, North Carolina and former Dean of Academic Affairs at the Swedish Institute College of Acupuncture in New York City. He was the first recipient of the "Educator of the Year" award conferred by the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM). Mr. Yuen was also responsible for the recognition by the U.S. Department of State to acknowledge Daoism as a religion which paved the way for Daoist priests to enter the United States on special visas. He lectures frequently nationally and abroad to colleges and associations of Oriental medicine.

His gift for making Daoist thought accessible, his desire to share its message of peace and hope, and his open affection for his students have earned him a place as one of the most sought-after Daoist priests and Tai Chi masters in the West.
Master Chen is the president and founder of the President of and President and founder of the Association for Chinese and American Enrichment, Inc., (aka the North American Wu Dang Taoist Association) a not-for-profit organization. He is the deputy director of the Sanfeng Friendship Association, based in Wu Dang, and is the official U.S. representative of Wu Dang for the Wu Dang Taoist Association.
